Hi folks, hope you can help out with a problem that has just materialised with the central locking on my 03 Octavia Elegance TDI. Symptoms are as follows: The car will suddenly lock itself (whether in use or stood dormant, ignition off et al) without any human intervention whatsoever. When it does this, generally any attempt to unlock it

If the status lights don’t blink, turn the control dial one complete rotation counter-clockwise to reset the control and then repeat steps 1 and 2, this time turning the knob faster during step 2. Turn the control dial 4 clicks clockwise. The calibration cycle runs for 2 to 3 minutes.

2. Then manually lock all doors a 2nd time except the driver's door. 3. Hit the lock button on your car key pad to activate the central locking system. This should lock the drivers door but with the fault it probably won't. Wait a few seconds then hit unlock on your key pad. Wait again and then hit lock once more.

Door locking/ unlocking with the remote works as normal. Just tried the key though and all doors lock but then drivers door immediately unlocks itself whilst the rest remain locked.
